Pet Parents expect Pet Pros to visit 25, 45, 90 minutes or 10+ Pet hours
Set a timer on your phone for 5 minutes less than this amount of time so you can take one more look around, making sure you have done it all, plus a little extra!

What is an independent contractor?
Independent contractors provide goods or services according to the terms of a contract they have negotiated with an employer. Independent contractors are not employees, and therefore they are not covered under most federal employment statutes.
You have the flexibility to choose your own work schedule!
You can deduct business expenses. Glynco Pet Sitters recommends you keep a mileage log.
The instructions you follow and time of visit come directly from the client.
You can have your separate clients apart from Glynco Pet Sitters, but you may not solicit Glynco Pet Sitter clients- this is strictly enforced.
You are responsible for any taxes owed, including but not limited to social security and income tax. Glynco will send you a 1099 by January 31 of the following year if you make over $600.
You are not insured by Glynco Pet Sitters, so if you do not feel comfortable contracting with us or taking on a specific client, please speak up.
You can stop or pause your relationship with Glynco Pet Sitters at any time for any reason, and the same for Glynco Petter Sitters
You do not have to give a 2-week notice, and Glynco Pet Sitters does not have to give a reason or notice if we choose not to contract with you for future clients.
Why would GPS not contract with someone again?
Sitter fails to show up for a client appointment
Sitter fails to arrive or stay the expected amount of time

What do I do at each pet sit?
GPS utilizes a consistent pet-care framework focused on communication, safety, cleanliness, and professionalism.
How does GPS support me as a pet PRO?
At Glynco Pet Sitters, we work hard to create organized systems and clear communication that helps contractors operate smoothly and professionally.
GPS contractors have access to:
scheduling and client management through Time to Pet
organized client notes and care instructions
operations support when questions and/or emergencies arise
repeat client opportunities
and a growing client base throughout Saint Simons Island and Brunswick.
We also do our best to organize schedules efficiently by geographic area whenever possible to help reduce unnecessary driving time between visits.
Many contractors find that strong communication, professionalism, and consistency often lead to repeat requests and preferred sitter opportunities over time.
As GPS continues to grow, we remain committed to creating positive experiences for pets, clients, and contractors alike.

Once we’ve received your form, reviewed it and spoken to you, we’ll send you an email invite to create an account in our software system. This starts with downloading the app.
Add Availability
You will want to add your availability into the software system. Currently, this can only be done through a desktop/laptop (sorry everyone but we didn’t create the software).
By the 20th of every month please add your availability for next month, including at least 2 full weekends
You will be offered whole jobs. Take them & keep the whole tip for yourself!
Getting Paid
We process payroll on Monday’s and then send along to you that day. Depending on how you are receiving your pay it should take no more than a few days for you to receive.
Tips are paid on the 4th Monday of each month.
Looking to earn more money? Holiday’s and summers are the time- be rested, ready and available!
Everyone wants one sitter on one job whenever possible. Work your schedule around the pet parent's needs and keep all the pay and tips instead of sharing with another sitter. Building good relationships with clients is important. And, yes! Clients are able to request specific sitters that they like, know and trust!
